Our History

In 2002, John Hernandez started Hernandez Tires with his father. The business was located at an old Texaco gas station in Conroe and had an inventory of 40 used tires and a pre-owned tire changer and balancer. Business was very slow at the beginning and John’s father left the business to him and his brother, Mike. However, after business began to pick up, John changed the name of the business to H-Wheel & Tire, Inc. As sales increased, John began to add new tires and aftermarket wheels to the inventory.

H-Wheel & Tire and its experienced team have established a dominant position in the Conroe and Montgomery area, but also have many customers from Cleveland, Navasota, Huntsville, The Woodlands, and the Greater Houston area.

With an extensive line of brand name products, H-Wheel & Tire is able to compete with local chain stores. In 2005, a larger storefront was built in order to increase inventory and better display our products.

Our success is credited to hard work, family support, consistency, and patience. John and his brother Mike operate with a hands-on approach and provide excellent customer service to new and returning customers. We offer Conroe’s largest selection of custom wheels and tires.
